In this landscape, the synergy between two EU-funded Horizon Europe projects, ReMuNet and TRANSCEND,  marks a meaningful step forward in building a smarter, more resilient freight network.

While ReMuNet focuses on enabling a real-time, adaptive response to disruptions in multimodal transport through advanced route planning and network orchestration, TRANSCEND aims to safeguard critical freight infrastructure against both cyber and non-cyber threats. Together, these projects address complementary aspects of transport resilience, ReMuNet tackles operational adaptation, while TRANSCEND strengthens infrastructural protection.

This synergy creates a shared framework that links predictive disruption management with resilient infrastructure monitoring, ultimately contributing to a seamless, secure and sustainable European freight network.

   Disruptions in freight transport can stem from various sources, extreme weather, cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, or geopolitical tensions.    ReMuNet champions the Physical Internet paradigm by incentivising synchro-modal relay transport.
