The 9th Terminal Day, hosted by SGKV in Berlin, once again proved to be a vital platform for fostering collaboration and innovation across the intermodal value chain. With a record number of participants, this year’s congress focused on preparing for the forecasted 89% growth in combined transport by 2040, offering discussions on energy, logistics, and emerging technologies. The event included dynamic keynotes, lively panels, and opportunities to exchange ideas on best practices and future solutions in the industry.

Florian Krietsch from PTV and John von Stamm from FIR an der RWTH had the privilege of presenting ReMuNet during the “Science Slam,” where they showcased how real-time data and advanced algorithms can enhance resilience in multimodal logistics, ensuring efficiency during disruptions. Key goals include reducing emissions, increasing transport efficiency, and supporting collaboration across intermodal modes such as road, rail, and waterways.

A special thank you to Clemens Bochynek, Matthias Plehm, Vivin Sudhakar, and the entire SGKV team for their outstanding organization and for creating such a vibrant space for discussion and networking. Terminal Tag 2024 brought together the best minds in intermodal transport, inspiring collaboration and innovation that will drive the future of the industry!
